The 3 storey town house enjoyed a superb location 100 yards from Sandown beach . Off road parking to rear , additional space on the development . The layout of the property provided several balconies to sit out and enjoy views over the sea . Great kitchen for cooking , TVs in most rooms , several flights of stairs so not suitable for those who would struggle . We slept with the sounds of waves breaking on the beach at night which was amazing . Some feed back about the town house complained about the balcony modest screens being opaque and spoiling the view ! We found them a perfect height as tour buses go past on the road outside , the screens provide some privacy plus obvious safety . If you have cycles ! The garage is secure storage . Opposite on the beach is a funky bar and grill ! Doesn’t stay open late in the evening so it’s great for a drink and meal . Plenty of Restaurants and bars a short walk into the town along the beach front . Pitch and Putt also along the front in walking distance . A great time for us and our friends, we will definitely come back to the Island for longer next visit . It was a really good experience and can’t think of anything that could be improved upon .

Spacious house for 8 adults, enough cutlery and condiments to dine in. Loved the proximity to the sea and comfortable beds. Plenty to do in Sandown and the beach was lovely. The biggest shame for us was the privacy glass. We chose this house for the views as my mother had an operation and needed to rest while we had fun. She couldn’t see the sea at all unless she stood up-other properties in the same block had clear glass. There was everything you needed except oven gloves and a hand towel, you wouldn’t think to bring these.

Well appointed house, ideal for a group or large family holiday. A cafetière would be a welcome addition to the kitchen and a couple of the bedrooms would benefit from privacy blinds as they are overlooked. Also we appreciate that this is a deliberate design feature, but the wonderful balconies having opaque glass means you can’t see the views unless standing up or on a high chair.

The location of Colonel’s House is perfect and the house itself was lovely, it was also clean and comfortable, the fixtures and fittings were all good quality and had everything we needed. The building/construction site is right next to Colonel’s House, our cars were blocked in the drive on numerous occasions by builders vans, which meant us constantly having to get there attention on site to get them to move their vehicles. There was not “some noise”, there was noise all day, we were woken up every morning between 7.20am and 7.50am when the crane started up and the builders started work, this noise continued through the day without a break until 4.40pm/5.00pm when the builders went home. The noise was so loud if you sat on the balcony you couldn’t hear the person sitting next to you talking. We all lead busy hectic lives and came on holiday for some rest and relaxation which unfortunately we didn’t get at Colonel’s House.
