The peace and quiet - it truly felt like an oasis.
Very very hot water - great for having a bath (fill bath and allow to cool) but almost too hot for a shower.
We liked the beautiful garden (but apply insect repellent for mosquitoes).
On the day of our departure, Ivan kindly let us put our luggage in storage and relax in the garden during the afternoon.
We ate in the hotel once and enjoyed the food (pleasantly surprised after reading some other reviews) although it was a bit more expensive than equivalent restaurants in town.
The flip side of the peace and quiet and beautiful garden was that we needed to taxi back and forth into town.

It is a very quiet location and the gardens are nice. There was a nice lounge area to read in. Nice pool area although we didn't use it.
The bathrooms are a little run down and didn't feel very clean - most surfaces in the room felt sticky. We are used to excellent and very friendly service in Peru (we live here) but check in was very impersonal and we did not really feel very welcome.

This really is an oasis of calm and beauty! We stayed for 4 nights and felt so relaxed. The gardens are lovely and you see hummingbirds all the time. The room was huge and there was plenty of hot water. The restaurant was open all day and the kitchen accommodated my vegetarian diet.
The walk to the main road to get taxis into town was a bit dusty…

Comfortable beds and clean rooms
The customer service- it seemed we were a burden for the staff. We did not see a smile during our stay, they did the bare minimum. Example our elderly friends who did not speak Spanish could not find their room and instead to show them, the gentleman shouted from the distance and did not help them. Breakfast was hideous, stale bread, scrambled eggs that look like vomit, no fruits available, really really poor. I never complaint about these type of things but this hotel really needs to get the grip of customer service. Perhaps, it is because they have a captive clientele due to the nazca lines that they don’t bother.
