The apartment was very clean and well-appointed. The location is great: close to the train and bus station but still within easy walking distance of major museums and sites. It was quite hot when I was there, so it was lovely to have air-conditioning, although it didn't really cool off the bedroom unless the door was open. Lovely place!

Our stay at Giulia's Home in Florence was pleasant overall, and the location alone makes it a solid choice for travelers.The apartment sits within easy walking distance of the train station, which was incredibly convenient for our plans. Having grocery shops nearby was a great bonus too — it made settling in effortless.Giulia was a responsive and attentive host, addressing all our queries promptly throughout the stay. We did notice the neighbourhood was a bit noisy on the first night, though things quieted down after that.The apartment itself was well-equipped and comfortable — with one notable exception: the shower. It's a compact unit, and the glass door doesn't close properly, which made things a little awkward. The shower head also didn't function as expected — we had to spend some time figuring out how to prevent the overhead shower from running unintentionally, which was a bit of a struggle, especially with kids.Aside from that inconvenience, everything else in the home was in good shape and met our needs well.A good option for those prioritizing location and convenience in Florence — just worth flagging the shower issue to the host ahead of your stay.

The positives:Apartment was comfortable once inside the actual apartment. It’s close to the train station, but not super convenient if you’re pulling luggage (with the very bumpy walkways)The negatives:MANY MANY MANY STAIRS TO GET INThe neighborhood felt unsafe, especially after darkThere was absolutely nothing in the apartment other than a bit of coffee. There were plates, flatware and a few other items, but after a long day of travel, there was nothing else. No toiletries either. The bathroom had a separate shower, toilet area, that has a BIG step down to the sink, and very slippery tile flooring. My husband took a very hard fall from there, cutting and bruising his arm. Thank goodness that was all. He is 80 years old. Needs more window coverings.
