OWASCO LAKE VACATION RENTAL - PRIVATE SPACE FOR 1-2 GUESTS
Unique private lake getaway located on the east side of beautiful Owasco Lake. Sleeps 2 maximum.
Enjoy beautiful lake views, sunsets, and direct lake access. This is a dedicated second-level space of our home with a private entrance, one bedroom with a new Queen bed, private bathroom, and fully furnished kitchen. There are 13 steps to the rental.
Privacy is very important to us. Self check-in means there is no need for interaction during your stay. We interact with guests only as much as they wish. Need local information or recommendations? Just ask. Otherwise, enjoy your privacy and your vacation.
The lake is just steps away, but please understand that you must be comfortable using stairs to get to and from the lake and beach area. This property is not for everyone, and we want to be upfront about the stairs.
Enjoy our lakefront dock, swimming, boating, kayaking and more. Four kayaks, a canoe, and a 14-foot aluminum boat are available for guest use. We also have a fire pit with firewood provided, plus a deck and gas grill.
The kitchen is fully equipped; just bring your food. Coffee is provided. We supply clean linens, towels, hand soap, and basic kitchen and bathroom paper products.
Great location for exploring the Finger Lakes. About 10 miles from Skaneateles and Auburn, 7 miles from Moravia and Fillmore Glen State Park, and about 40 minutes from Syracuse, Waterloo outlets and Seneca Falls. Wine trails, golf, hiking, biking and birding are all nearby. Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge is about 20 miles away.
This is a quiet, private space best suited for one or two guests looking to enjoy Owasco Lake and the Finger Lakes at their own pace.

Rod and Carmella's place was the perfect spot for us to begin our Finger Lakes adventure. The room was just as described- very comfortable bed, super soft towels and fully stocked kitchen. The journey down to the lake (and back up) took some effort, but was well worth it. The boat house is fully packed with every water toy you could imagine. We enjoyed the kayaks.... would have used the floats if the lake were just a bit warmer (1st week of June). Rod and Carmella were available but not intrusive - very friendly and shared wonderful suggestions for things to do. Incredible sunsets and birds chirping in the trees around us were additional highlights of our stay. Highly recommend!

As long as you are physically able to manage the steps (that the owner includes in the listing) this is an absolutely wonderful couple retreat place. The hosts were very friendly [including their 2 dogs :-)] and helpful, the view across the lake is gorgeous, everything was clean and neat and included all that we needed (or asked for in one case), was great to have the kayaks available to go out on the lake. The upstairs quite over the hosts' house was private. We used it as a place to stay while we celebrated Sandy's 73rd birthday and visited the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge - about 30 min away but the accommodations here were much more to our liking than any others we saw - The listing caught our eye as matching what we were looking for and it SURE DID.

Beautiful little suite on the lake. Check in was seamless. We were out and about and had little interaction with owners but they were there when we checked in and were very gracious.
