About this apartment rental
Puamana 9C is a roomy and comfortable retreat with easy walking access to the heart of Princeville! Your home base has two bedrooms, a living and dining area with lovely high ceilings, a fully appointed open concept kitchen, and three private lanais. From the second floor lanai you can take in views of the lush grounds and the ocean in the background! The ground floor bedroom is also air conditioned, a real luxury on Kauai.
Situated perfectly for you to have quick walking access to all that Princeville has to offer, Puamana 9C is a fabulous jumping off point for your island adventures. Anini Beach, home to Hawaii's longest coral reef and perfect for swimming and snorkeling, is just a brief 8 minute hike away on a shady path that starts just across the street. The Princeville Shopping Center is just 15 minutes away on foot, and has a Foodland grocery store and all the shopping and dining options you could want! You can also visit the farmer's market every Saturday morning, and grab a bite before enjoying the free Saturday afternoon hula show. The Westin Resort is even closer, only 2 minutes walking, and offers access to a Starbucks, grab and go minimart, and upscale dining at the Nanea restaurant (head over for happy hour deals from 3-5!). For even more retail therapy and dining options, the picturesque island town of Hanalei is a 10 minute drive away, as are the iconic beaches of Hanalei Bay. For a quieter experience away from the crowds we recommend checking out the Kilauea Point Lighthouse and beautiful nature preserve just a short drive away.
If running around on vacation isn't your style, the Puamana grounds have all you need for a slow-paced, relaxing retreat. Spend the day lounging by the pool with a drink (no glass by the pool please), go for an evening stroll along the golf course greenbelt, and take in the sunset over the water from the second floor lanai. Whether you're staying in or going out, there's something for everyone here!
For those looking to get around the island, drive time to the East Side (where the airport is) is about 55 minutes, and to the South Shore is roughly 75 minutes.
This is a two-story home. To access the second floor bedroom and lanai you must be able to go up and down one flight of stairs.
This unit is partially air conditioned, in the downstairs bedroom only. There are plenty of fans and screen doors on all the lanais to help with airflow in the rest of the house.
Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.
Note: host requires all guests, whether they book directly or via a third party website, to complete a rental agreement within 3 days of booking.

Let's start with the positive. Quaint little place. Family of 5 stayed with room to spare. At first glance, things seemed really nice. Decent location to shops and northern areas to explore. For newcomers, maybe printing something off about location of grocery stores and area beaches and things to do would be helpful. Now for the negative- first walk-through, the place smelled musty and unused. Several stains on outdated and older carpet greeted us. I made to sure to document what I could as soon as possible. Master bedroom blinds across sliding glass door were broke. The entire one side of the track wasn't even attached. So we were careful when opening or closing. Outlet in bathroom didn't work and I ended up blow drying my hair in bedroom all week. I ended up documenting corners of bathroom and other public areas that were either stained or still dirty. Back slider door was half broken and not in the track properly. Washing machine had huge clump of other visitors hair and a child sock inside the seal. Several other outlets that didn't work throughout the condo. Designated smoking areas were not clear as I got yelled at by one old patron that made it clear there was no smoking anywhere. I told her to take it up with the rental company. Ceiling fan in dining area was squeaky enough and loud enough to be absolutely annoying, but it was listen to that or have no air circulation the entire time so we put up with it. All in all, not a bad little place, but not worth 2400.

Well maintained condo. Place was clean upon arrival. Nice to have a grocery store close by and be close to the pool. Beach gear is located on back porch in closet.

The first number of days (and nights) were just fine. The last four nights new guests arrived next door. They were loud, rowdy and drinking all night long in the parking lot directly next to the downstairs bedroom (where we were trying to sleep). It was particularly bad the first two nights of their being there. After the their first night of partying ( which started at 2am and did not end until 6am!!) I was able to connect with the manager and was told that they would be communicated with and the problem would not happen again. Well the next night it started up again at 1:30 am and by 3:00 am an argument and fight broke out in the parking lot. This time I called the police. They arrived after the altercation had finished, and the several young men who were involved, had gotten into their vehicles and quickly departed. Things were not as bad the next two night though they still continued to be up and making noise well past the quiet hour of 10 pm. In fact the noise and talking, yelling, clinging of empty beer bottles never began until well after mid-night. The stay in the condo was fine. The issue with the neighbors, and the fact that it kept happening, was terrible.
