About this apartment rental
Enjoy this charming 1br/1ba (sleeps 2-4+) English Basement apartment with private entrance in a historic 1890 Townhouse within walking distance of Dupont Circle, Logan Circle and the U Street Corridor. This tastefully furnished apartment has one bedroom with a king size Tempurpedic bed, a queen size sleeper sofa, plus several inflatable beds of various sizes. It's the perfect location for a business trip or a visit to DC's many incredible sites. And I don't charge a cleaning fee! I’ve lived in the main house above the apartment for over 20 years, so I’m happy to answer questions about the area and offer suggestions for your stay.
The apartment is a stone's throw from dozens of restaurants (6 with Michelin stars!), shops, clubs and within easy walking distance of two Metro lines. There's no off-street parking for the unit, but free temporary residential parking can be arranged for visitors to take advantage of the plentiful street parking in the neighborhood.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this basement apartment. The one-bedroom unit featured an exceptionally comfortable king-size Tempur-Pedic bed (and hubby usually doesn’t like Tempur-pedic!). The apartment was spotless upon arrival. The tile floors were immaculate, with no dust or debris anywhere, and the entire space was clearly well-maintained. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, utensils, and even a surprising number of refrigerator staples that made our stay more convenient.All of the amenities we needed were provided, including an iron and ironing board, and everything was in excellent working order. Although this is a basement apartment, it never felt dark, cramped, or cave-like. The space was bright, comfortable, and inviting throughout our stay.Access to the apartment was incredibly simple. The hosts programmed the entry system using the last four digits of our cell phone number, so there was no need to carry keys or worry about lockboxes. Parking instructions were clear and easy to follow, and we had a rental car parked there for several days without any issues.The host put a great deal of thought into making guests feel welcome. We would stay here again!

The location is excellent and neighborhood is lovely. Frank is a great host and has anticipated every need. Super comfortable bed and quiet at night yet just a short walk to restaurants, cafes, etc. We had a wonderful stay!

I would give this stay a 12 out of 10 The apartment was clean, spacious and the host provided a welcoming atmosphere. Frank was very easy to communicate with and quickly responded to any texts. The apartment was easy to locate, marked well with easy secure entry. The kitchen boasts a full stove refrigerator microwave and dishwasher Spotless. There was a washer and dryer if needed ( we didn’t) but it was nice to know it was available. Parking on the street was easily available We were there for 3 nights (with record heat) and found it a relaxing retreat after seeing the monuments We highly recommend
