About this lodge
Perfect for family reunions or large groups, Evergreen Lodge is a genuine hand hewn log cabin retreat with 6 bedrooms and 4 baths in 3304 square feet for a genuine Black Hills experience. Nestled in tall, stately pines, the interior features a completely stocked kitchen with a gas stove, dishwasher, drip and Keurig coffee pots, three lounging areas, 2 large Smart TVs, free wifi, indoor dining for 14, and rocking chairs overlooking a quiet meadow. Moving outdoors there is a furnished deck with landscape views, outdoor dining for 12 protected from wind, gas firepit with adirondack chairs, all in a peaceful setting you won't want to leave. But if you do want adventure or sightseeing, the lodge is centrally located to Sylvan Lake, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Needles Highway and only 21 miles from Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Just two miles away you can connect with the Custer State Park spur of the Mickelson Trail. The best of both worlds!

Ten family members spent 4 days at the Evergreen Lodge while attending wedding festivities at Sylvan Lake. The Lodge was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. It is conveniently located for visiting numerous tourist sites, including Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave to name a few. We would definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing time! The cabin and property is beautiful! We had everything we needed and there was more than enough room. There were 7 adults and 5 kids (ages 1-7), and I'm not sure who had a better time. The kids loved all the toys and the huge yard was big enough for a fun game of whiffle ball. The firepit was an added bonus for the adults! The property felt secluded and peaceful, yet close enough to town and many tourist attractions. Highly recommend! May have been the best family vacation yet!

Evergreen Lodge was everything as advertised. We loved the huge, open living area. The front deck was everyone’s favorite locale; late afternoon, evening shade with breezes and ready access to the house. The younger of us liked the play area on the ground floor. My grandson had his dream time with all the kids’ trucks in residence. We used the especially nice grill for several dinners. All 9 of easily fit around the dining table. Diane was super responsive to our 1 minor problem - it was fixed in great time. A super host!Any renters with toddlers will really love the 3 pack & plays and the 2 high chairs. Custer State Park is a couple miles away; Rushmore, Wind Cave & Jewell Cave are all within 30 minutes. One of great family weeks together.
