About this house rental

A short distance from scuba diving, snorkeling, and more, this beach vacation home lets you experience it all. Chalk Sound National Park is just a short walk away, so you can leave your car at the property, which offers onsite parking, or jump in your vehicle to make short work of the 7-minute drive to Taylor Bay Beach.

After you return, you can unwind at the beach, chill by the communal pool, or sip a drink in the hot tub; you may also like the garden. As for the great indoors, you can come inside and enjoy the free WiFi and TV.

This 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom rental features a BBQ grill, air conditioning, and an office. Bathroom amenities include a hair dryer, towels, and shampoo. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a stovetop, and a refrigerator, as well as a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a microwave. And because there's a washer and dryer, you can go a bit lighter on your packing.

It was a great stay. The accommodations were excellent. The property is set up with everything you need. It is very private. We had an issue with one of the kayak paddles and the host came through with a replacement in short order. Thank you!

Traveling with two families, we had a great stay at Tropical Retreat! Everything from booking to checkin and checkout was a smooth process!The house is located on the less traveled side of the island, which I prefer! Since we had a rental car, I felt like we got the best of both worlds! We could travel to Grace Bay or Smith’s reef in about 15 minutes, but had the beauty of the sound the best beaches just minutes away. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we would need. Although parts of the house are in need of small repairs, that wasn’t an issue at all for us. The kitchen and dining area are huge, and there are two lounging spaces on the first floor. We didn’t really watch any of the tvs, but they were large and smart TVs. Be aware, the only stairs in the space are a set of narrow spiral stairs up to all three bedrooms. I found this to be a fun quirk of the house, but it may not be for everyone. One of the bedrooms was very spacious, and we were able to set up an air mattress with plenty of remaining space. This bedroom also included a very large walk in closet and bathroom. Water was warm (not hot), but that is what I expected traveling to the island. The other two bedrooms were decent sized, and all had King sized beds (I believe!).The pool seemed fine, although, we didn’t spend anytime there. I really enjoyed the deck that overlooked the water and the path that led down to the water. Two mornings, we saw a flock of flamingos fly overhead!
