A warm and luxurious retreat away from home, for those seeking a countryside experience but don't want to compromise on urban luxuries this might just be the spot for you. Welcome to Te Whare Hipi!

From the neutral tones and soft furnishings to the high a-frame ceiling, this cute abode not only feels modern but has a bright and spacious atmosphere filled with natural light throughout the day. Picture yourself in winter, relaxing on the couch with a fire roaring the background. The calming amber glow from the flames and the semi-rural setting as the backdrop offer an effortless ambience that is sure to melt away any stress. The WiFi will be great for indoor days, as will the Smart TV with Freeview, Netflix and Disney.
The living, dining and kitchen make up the beautifully presented hub of the home, with bi-folding doors opening out to the deck with a view across the lawn and the neighbouring farm. Summer days spent out on the sundeck will be such a treat with the must-have Webber BBQ and a large, comfy outdoor dining table. And with a selection of outdoor games to choose from, including Connect 4, a Tug-A-War rope and a Kubb set, there are plenty of ways to fill your sunny days and entertain yourselves.
Wine lovers will be happy to hear that the abundance of wineries in the area are all close by, within a short drive or a good flat walk if you want to leave the car at home. The beer drinkers should definitely visit the Martinborough Brewery, just a four-minute drive from the house. The centre square of Martinborough is also a four-minute drive away and offers eateries, cafe's, local shops and a grocery shop.
If you're feeling adventurous, a five-minute drive will have you at the start of the Rapaki Walk, which has great views of the Wairarapa Valley.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at Te Whare Hipi, what a cute little place! Highly recommend for a couples weekend getaway, we'll definitely return.
