About this house rental
Aloha and Welcome to Moana Imaku! Come and enjoy your Hawaiian getaway in a lovely, spacious, light filled home all your own. In creating this vacation home it was important for the owner to build a place that could be enjoyed by all, including the differently abled. This home is wheel chair accessible from the entry ramp to the wide doorways and easy-access showers in both bathrooms. There are lots of extra features for those with special needs. Everyone in your group will love the ocean view lanai a block from the ocean... and you may meet the neighborhood hen, Henrietta, who often leaves a freshly laid egg for guests on a chair cushion!
When you enter this hale you will notice the lovely tropical furnishings and décor, shiny African mahogany floors, large fully equipped gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances, and dining area. Not to mention the newly furnished and comfortable lanai with 2 loveseats, 2 chairs and a dining table that sits 4. The spacious living room includes a Smart TV and plenty of seating area.
The bedrooms consist of a four poster queen size bed in the master bedroom with its own master bathroom. First guest room has two single beds and second guest room has one queen size bed. Guest bathroom is conveniently located between both bedrooms.
Moana Imaku also features indoor laundry room with front load washer & dryer, and a 400 square foot lanai where you can enjoy outdoor dining and take in your ocean views.
This hale is located on the beautiful Puna coast a block from the ocean and the beautiful ocean park, bringing you our island sunshine and trade breezes on the sunrise side of the island.

Location was great! The neighborhood was quiet and super close to the water- perfect for sunrises!!The house was nice, but a little tired. Having beach towels and chairs available was a nice feature! The house got pretty warm while we were there, even with fans and the windows open. This may sound crazy, but turning lights on and off in this house was a challenge (remote controls for each light that didn’t always work - frustrating)Lol!Over all, we had a great time on that side of the island!

The house was perfect for our group, had everything we needed. It is in a very lovely quiet neighborhood with a view of the ocean. Only issue is lack of anything walkable like a store or beach. That is our error because it was our first time to Hawaii and we really had no idea about distance! Overall loved our stay.

We had an amazing stay at Moana Imaku—everything was absolutely perfect. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. One of our favorite parts was how close it was to the ocean. Being able to hear the waves all night long made it incredibly relaxing and peaceful. We truly loved our time here and would definitely stay again.

This property is absolutely beautiful. The location is far from most things, but by a beautiful state park. Everything about the property itself was great. However, the neighbors on both sides make it very clear that they would rather not have a VRBO nextdoor to them. The ones closest to the ocean called the property management company and made a false claim that some of the people in our party were smoking on the lanai. This was obviously not true and could have been fact checked with the cameras that are facing the lanai. There are several cameras on this property. Instead, we received an email informing us it was illegal and we needed to stop. The neighbor on the side farthest from the ocean started verbally harassing us on the day we checked in. He could be heard yelling "Shut the f*** up and get back in your f***ing rental" whenever we were outside, regardless of the time of day. Several people in my group are retired military and have hearing loss as a result so they do speak at a slightly higher volume than someone with perfect hearing. It definitely put a damper on our trip to feel like we couldn't go outside unless we were leaving.
