About this cabin rental
This charming original chink log cabin, “River’s Edge” built in 1910, sits on almost an acre of riverfront property. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, laundry room, large master bedroom, 2 fireplaces, free WiFi, modern TVs, DVD’s with DVD library. Sleeps 6. The large screened in front porch is superb for dining or reading a book. The property has a large deck overlooking the river, a spacious fire pit area, gas and charcoal grills, and a 6 person hot tub. Look us up on FB to find out about the many year round activities: fishing, tubing, golfing, skiing, snowboarding, wildlife viewing, rock climbing, mountain biking and spelunking. The local restaurants, bars, and live music will provide your stay with excellent entertainment and great local cuisine. The only pets we allow are dogs that are house trained.

Host was friendly, easy to communicate with, flexible, and accommodating.Check in and checkout were simple and uncomplicated.Cabin was adorable and rustic with very nice new appliances. Host provided pretty much anything you might need. Window units were highly effective at cooling downstairs, upstairs loft area was harder to cool because both window units are downstairs, but host also provided fans for upstairs too.River access is just steps away from the cabin. The deck overlooking the river was my favorite part because we could fish right off the deck with ease whenever we wanted to and keep an eye our kids playing in the river at the same time.Hot tub was in excellent condition.Host provided firewood for the fire pit, which was an awesome bonus.This cabin experience was great all across the board. It was the perfect family vacation for us and our kids.

Easy, that’s the first word that comes to mind. The hospitality of the host, the overall comfort and well supplied cabin, the ideal location, several fishing spots on the property. Couldn’t ask for a better get away for our family. So quiet and peaceful in the evenings and at night. Cabin has so much character while also having access to modern amenities makes your stay….Easy.

The cabin was perfect for our group and helped to make the trip special. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck overlooking the river and spent time around the fire pit. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to be. Thank you!

Cabin seemed very cozy at first until it got cold outside. It was a little drafty, especially upstairs. Glad we brought extra blankets! I did however find that we somehow turned off a switch in the laundry room to one of the baseboard heaters in the living room. Probably wouldn’t have been as cold had we known that. Our kids did not sleep upstairs due to it being cold and a little dusty. The location on the river was great and would have been very enjoyable in warmer weather. The kitchen was nice and had all the things we needed to cook. The laundry room was nice as well. Bathroom was updated with nice size shower but a little cold. Two space heaters were provided which was nice and would have heated the bathroom had I thought of it. Lots of outdoor space and also plenty of firewood for the fireplace!
