Perched just 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Bryson City and 20 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance, Lookout Lodge is a spacious 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom retreat framing breathtaking, year-round mountain panoramas. The tastefully appointed interior features an open floor plan, a gas fireplace (non-functional), a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, and sleeping quarters that include a primary king suite with a spa-like bath, a second king bedroom with a private balcony, a main-floor queen bedroom, and a fourth room with two double beds. Outside, expansive decks, a soothing hot tub, a charcoal grill, and easy access to nearby tubing, fly fishing, ziplining, and waterfall hikes make this luxurious lodge the ultimate basecamp for unforgettable family getaways.

Lookout lodge was absolutely the best cabin we have stayed in. The view is absolutely gorgeous! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook. It is very roomy and spacious. The game room was great because we had a table to play our games at. The beds were very comfy. The master bedroom has a tv which was great. The only suggestion I would make is to add tvs to the other bedrooms! We will most definitely stay here again!

This property is a great value! We wound our way through a gate and up the mountain for about 5 min on a small paved road to get to the very private home. Each day the ‘smoke’ wove its way in and out of the mountains as if it were performing a show. The hot tub was great after long days of hiking and to view the stars. Kitchen and bathrooms were sufficiently appointed. We brought extra supplies due what the rental agreement said they provided, but we didn’t need them. There were several small deferred maintenance items on the property, but they are only of note because the rental agreement was one of the longer and more litigious I’ve had to sign. We didn’t break anything and weren’t charged for anything, so it worked out. Parking was slightly tricky for us as novice mountain visitors, but we got the hang of it by the end of the week. We only had one car- not sure how well it would handle multiple cars. All told, it is a lovely home and we had a wonderful week. Would definitely rent again!

Our 2 families stayed in this house for 5 nights. The views are wonderful. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and do our own thing if we needed to. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The place could use maintenance on a few things: kitchen cabinet doors loose, drawers not connected to the slides in various rooms, burned out light bulbs, molding in kitchen loose and the door to the upstairs bathroom door needs oil or adjusting to open and close more smoothly (noisy). It may seem like a lot, but unless you stay here, you wouldn't notice these things. These are also inexpensive fixes. Overall these did not take away from an enjoyable stay. It would very nice to include a wine bottle opener and an iron.Hot tub and outdoor furniture was great to have. Never ran out of hot water for showers and the water out of the faucet for drinking was great!

View was better than the pictures! Amazing! House was clean and kitchen was great. Hot tub was perfect after our long days in the park. Well maintained, and easy to get to. Only complaint was the wifi was out the whole stay and thus the TV's didn't work at all (the only way to watch was online TV services, no cable/antenna), nor did our devices (laptop/tablets). Customer service was less than desired. Never heard back from them after the first night. Seems to be a recurrent problem as it's in others reviews as well. Don't know if they even worried about it. Physically walked into their building and even though they knew the wifi had been out for a week they tried to blame it on the Microsoft outage (as it was that day). Completely false information! A little bit of honesty would have gone a long way.
