Villa Santa Chiara is a beautiful property in a stunning location just minutes from Siena's historic center. Anna and Mario are exceptional hosts — responsive and helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. They assisted us in arranging a private chef for two memorable dinners with outstanding wine pairings, helped coordinate transportation, and even located a dentist for one of our guests in a pinch. Anna also gave us a warm tour of the property and her family's vineyard and olive oil history.The property itself is stunning. Views from the pool over the Tuscan countryside are breathtaking, the veranda is ideal for group meals, and the fire pit area is lovely for evenings together.Note for prospective renters: Anna and her family live on the property and share some amenities and grounds. She was upfront about this when asked prior to booking — just worth knowing if full privacy is important to your group.Note for Americans: 'first floor' means one floor above ground level. All bedrooms require climbing stairs.Pro tip: the path behind the local grocery store leads directly up to Siena's historic center — Google Maps doesn't show it, but it avoids a road with no sidewalk.Overall a memorable stay in a spectacular setting with genuinely caring hosts.

We have visited Tuscany several times, this time as a family of ten including four children under 11. The three separate apartments worked very well. Common area at the pool and on the side lawn provided space for play and happy hour. The hosts were on site and very responsive to questions and offered helpful suggestions for sites to visit. I suggest you plan your vacation time in Siena around availability here!

Amazing Villa. We were a family of 8 adults and 2 children under 4. We rented 3 apartments and had the entire property. The hosts, Anna and Mario, went out of their way to accommodate our needs, especially with the children! They helped us with recommendations for tour, drivers, chef meals prepared at the Villa, and stocked some basic food items for our arrival. The grounds were perfect for relaxing with so many areas to gather. The flowers were amazing everywhere you turned. The location was perfect with the easy walk into Siena and day trips to neighboring cities. The apartments were very spacious, clean, furnished comfortably and the views from the windows were breathtaking. We hope to return!!!!

We hosted our family at Villa Santa Chiara for a week this spring and we all had the best time! We had three separate families and the three separate apartments were perfect for our group's size. Mario and Anna were extremely welcoming and very flexible with our group arriving at different times (we were all coming from different parts of the US). The property is gorgeous and is walking distance to Siena which is incredibly convenient. The pool was also opened early because the weather had been good - so the kids were thrilled with being able to come home at the end of a day of sight seeing and swim in the pool! There is a perfect area for communal events (including poolside) but also the ability sneak away to your own space, which is great. The owners also stay on the property and were so helpful to us. The location has a beautiful view of the country side and my husband and I were able to run on the back roads (a hiking and biking route is very close by). The grocery store is a 5-10 min drive away and we cooked many of our dinners in the extremely well supplied kitchens. We had the best week in Siena and a lot of it had to do with our stay at Villa Santa Chiara. I highly recommend it - it's perfect if you have multiple groups and also perfect for kids! My niece and nephew loved the cats and chickens and were already asking if we could come back for next spring break.
