The views were spectacular and the host was exceptionally helpful and responsive throughout our stay, including assisting with restaurant reservations and local reccommendations. The apartment was clean and well appointed.Future guests should be aware that the primary bedroom is quite small. With luggage, there is very limited space to move around the bed and we found it difficult to unpack and get settled comfortably. There are also quite a few stairs to get to the elevator. The location is direcly in the heart of the historic center near the Duomo, which is extremely busy and crowded during the day. While this makes it very convenient for sightseeing, guests looking for a quieter Florence experience may prefer a different neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the deck in the evenings. The views were great and it was fun watching the sunset and listening to the live music from the streets below.

This place was A DREAM! The views from the windows are absolutely incredible and the giant sitting room was perfect for our needs. You can look out over the river, the bridge and the Duomo! Everything worked well, the space was well furnished and there was even a lift to get to the 4th floor! I would sit with a glass of wine or coffee and just look out the window. The only trade off for the location was the noise of the busy street, but if you put on a fan or white noise machine in the bedrooms you'll be good to go!

The location and overall layout of the apartment were amazing. However, the nonfunctioning air conditioning units were a big negative since it was 90F in Florance all week and the apartment is located on the 5th floor of the building. The apartment comes with 4 installed AC units (one in each bedroom and one in the living room), but they would only run for a few minutes at a time before tripping the fuse and shutting off. When they were running, they were not releasing enough cold air to cool a room. I was in constant communication with the host about this. He finally came to the apartment, cleaned the units on day 4, but it did not fix the problem. There was no compensation offered for our discomfort. I never would have rented the apartment had I known there was no adequately functioning air conditioning.
