This COZY, cute, historic, Spring House is minutes away from Terrain at Styers Wedding Venue. (If you are a bride, you'll want to get ready here!) It is minutes from World Renowned Longwood Gardens, Chadds Ford Village, (the Conservancy now offers over 5 miles of hiking/walking trails) Minutes from Andrew Wyeth Home, Brandywine River Museum, Brandywine Battlefield, Wineries, 5-star restaurants, shopping, AND it sits on the same property as the #1 Antique Shop in Chester County.
The space
Please read! So much to say about this historic space! Pull up to the private drive with room for 3+ cars. In the summer months relax on the deck or swing on the tire swing. Inside the eat-in kitchen has everything you need to prep a meal. The living room has a comfy sofa & chair, a chest full of games ready to be put to use. Netflix is available as well. The bathroom features a tub ready for you to soak it all in and relax! Two bedrooms are on the first floor and the third is a loft-style space. It will be hard to choose!
****Please note you have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the loft. The main is right off the living room. The second bedroom is attached to the main bedroom and the bathroom. This is a small cottage. If you want bedrooms that are far away from each other this place is not for you. There are window units, not central air.****
Cool Fact: The Painter family built this house in the late 1700's. It used to sit on a horse farm. The William Painter farm is nearby and used to be a stop on the Underground Railroad.

This house sits off of route one which may be noisy doing the rush hour traffic. It is not a secluded space.
There are two window ac units located on the first floor and lots of air circulation within the house. There is no ac unit in the loft. There are fans provided.
The first bedroom is off the living room. You have to walk through the first bedroom to access the loft. The second bedroom can be accessed by the first bedroom or the bathroom. The bathroom has an entrance through the living room as well.

A Very nice place to stay for 3 people! House was well furnished. Amenities were provided, everything we needed was available. The host was quick to communicate. It was very easy to get in - nothing complicated. It is near a busy road, so there is some road noise. Just something to keep in mind if you want a secluded, quiet place.

A cozy spot with 3 beds and a full kitchen. Host was available. It is off a very busy road which made walking/running impossible. The upstairs bedroom could hear the loud highway. Overall, a cute place with water and a few snacks left for welcoming. My one piece of feedback I gave the host was that main bedroom’s bed was so terribly squeaky and unsteady that it made it very hard to rest. I would have expected the host to have noticed or checked before renting- especially for charging such an high rate with fees Also, note the the directions they give is to go on an off-road grassy driveway. We were unclear that it was drivable, especially at night making for a complex check in.

Our family of 6 stayed here for one night on our way to visit Philadelphia. It was a good location for us - only about 40 minutes outside the city. The host was very proactive ahead of check-in and there was even a sign welcoming our crew. It was a nice touch. For the most part, the stay at this cozy spring house was good. However, it was made less cozy by the consistent presence of some type of crickets. We dropped our things off on Friday afternoon then went out until the evening. When we came back around 9:00 or so, we found a cricket of some sort hanging on the curtains in the bathroom. Not a big deal. Except we kept finding them over the course of the next few hours. Every time we would get settled, we'd see another one. My sons killed at least 15 of them by the time we went to bed. Needless to say, none of us slept very well. I did contact the host after our stay to let them know the situation and that they might want to spray for insects more regularly. While our family probably wouldn't stay here again based on our experience, I don't want to scare you away. I'd like to think our experience was unusual. It is a cozy little house perfect for a night or two.
