What a wonderful property. It is one of the better equipped places we've stayed. It is nicely located in the country away from the city and serves as a nice jump off point for the Thunder Bay area. We stayed there a couple of days on our trip navigating around Lake Superior. The host is fantastic. Great communication! The Finn Pancake batter, strawberries and whipped cream in the fridge was a welcome surprise and very tasty. We had breakfast at the Dawson General Store right next door one day and it was very good. Would highly recommend if your looking for a nice place to stay in the Thunder Bay area.

Stayed here last year for my sons graduation and we came back this year for my daughter's graduation. Love staying here and always a great experience.

The property is very well equipped and comfortable. Great living space, well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The beds are quite comfortable. It’s a little out of town, but not too far. There’s some good walking along the power line trails in winter, but they are not as accessible in summer. The store next door has great food, especially the pizza! All in all, it’s a great spot. Mike and Taina are amazing and communicative hosts. And the Finn pancakes are fantastic.

We could not have asked for a cleaner and well stocked accommodation. Mike & Tania even provided a pitcher of pre-made Finnish pancake batter and strawberries upon our arrival. The place was immaculate, beds were excellent and it truly was cozy. We travelled to TBay for a family funeral and it was truly a relief to find the place was exactly as advertised and not another source of stress. Two minor caveats, the house does not appear to have air conditioning even though the listing shows that it does, and the outside parking area can get pretty mucky when wet. However these minor issues are not deal breakers and when we return to TBay we will definitely ensure to book the house again if available.
