About this house rental
I bought this home in 2016 and completely renovated the entire house. It features an open floor plan, huge kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, washer and dryer, and a large yard. The house is walking distance to the river, downtown Clayton, shops, amenities, and restaurants. It is a great space for family vacations, groups that are attending events in the 1000 Islands area, or just a peaceful vacation! Book Now!

The house was very well-equipped and clean and nicely situated. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need (as did the bathrooms). You can walk to a supermarket and to the town. The only complaint was that the back patio area was pretty dirty when we got there. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay.

The house was great !! Quiet neighborhood,beautiful kitchen,bathroom upstairs and downstairs,great deck area outside and grill but it rained on the days we could’ve hung out. I would recommend this place to anyone that’s going to spend time in Clayton for sure !!! Ashley is very easy to get ahold of for any questions too.

This charming house was the perfect place for us and our 2 dogs, and we cannot thank Ashley enough for how welcoming it was! Spotlessly clean, every possible amenity, and best of all— we could see the river from the front of the driveway! Every morning we walked our girls about 135 steps down the road and enjoyed saying hello to the swans in the little bay. It was perfect and we are already planning when we can return.

We loved the location! It’s close enough to walk to restaurants in Clayton and there is a glimpse of the river from the house. We couldn’t get in to the house when we first arrived. I did not get check in code from the host. After making a few phone calls to VRBO and Ashley we got in. The house was not as clean as I would expect. We had to clean up a mess under the trash can in the kitchen and wipe down sticky handles on the fridge. There was mouse poop in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. A layer of dust on the top of the king bed headboard. We had to wash the sheets due to pet hair. There was white pet hair all over the steps and in the bedrooms. The K cups were over a year expired and the creamer cups curdled. The furniture and tables on the patio were covered with bird poop and leaves. There were no Kleenex in the house and we had to buy some. I expressed my concerns to Ashley and she offered to send the cleaners over but we had already cleaned up the mess. Ashley is very quick to respond and I had no issues with her. I think she needs to hire different cleaners. I would not stay here again.
