About this cottage rental
This cottage is set in peaceful, secure park like grounds at the end of a short col-de-sac, a short distance from the Hamurana Springs, trout fishing and Lake Rotorua. The cottage was constructed with wheelchair access in mind and has ample safe parking. 15 minutes drive into the Rotorua tourist attractions .Relax outside in the patio area and stargaze at night with the clear skies or have a glass of wine and listen to the local bird life especially the native Tui's when the cherry trees are in blossom

The host was very nice and helpful. The fresh eggs were a nice touch thanks Jerry. The rooms were all clean and tidy, and the beds were super comfy. both the kitchen and laundry were adequate. Shirley suffers from the cold and we found it a little bit difficult to keep her warm. Mark you, the weather didn't help at all as it was raining and cold for the first 5 days. On the down side, the patio, and path could do with a good waterblasting, not just to clean it up but to stop it from being so slippery in the wet. The car park area could do with a bit of TLC to make the bush view nicer. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to have a peaceful stay without road noise or close neighbours. And it was only about 20 mins to central Rotorua to take advantage of all the superb eateries. We would be happy to return in the summer when the weather is nicer.

The accomodation was very pleasant and easy to access. The kitchen was well supplied and all rooms were very comfortable. We had problems using the clothes dryer and this may need servicing.

Jerry was very kind, very private stay, no afternoon sun in due to position of cottage and trees, driveway needs to be trimmed right back so vehicle doesnt get scratched by plants.. Bad wifi inside, I don't like The whole clean up before leave but there is still service, doesn't work as kiwi batch tradition as you relying on last person that rented to clean dishes properly which in my case they didn't wash a pan properly .. Really did Enjoy stay though, rural yet not to far from town, electric blankets, heat pump and very good spring water made me glad I choose to stay.

The interior was well presented and comfortable for our stay (2 adults).The host was friendly and helpful.The exterior and patio area needs some attention...a general spruce up and gardening.
