Welcome to Family Ties, a warm and thoughtfully designed waterfront home on beautiful False River—one of Louisiana’s most beloved lake destinations. With four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and room for up to 10 guests, it’s an easy place to gather for a fall lake weekend, an LSU/Southern game trip, a family celebration or simply a few quieter days together.

THE WATER IS YOUR BACKYARD

Step outside and False River is right there. A private pier stretches over the calm water—perfect for fishing off the edge, watching the sun go down or just sitting quietly while the kids wear themselves out.

The covered dock has a porch swing, Adirondack chairs and string lights that make it everyone’s favorite spot by the second night. A fire pit faces the water for cooler evenings that tend to run longer than anyone planned.

PORCHES, PATIOS AND ROOM TO BREATHE

The screened porch runs the full length of the back of the house, with both a dining table and a full sectional overlooking the water. The back patio has outdoor dining, a gas grill and garden beds that give the whole space a settled, cared-for feel.

There’s always somewhere to find your people—and always somewhere to slip away quietly with your coffee.

A KITCHEN MADE FOR REAL MEALS TOGETHER

The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed to cook for a crowd, including full-size appliances, a gas range, ample counter space and a dedicated coffee bar for slower mornings.

The dining table seats the whole family, and the open layout means whoever is cooking is never left out of the conversation.

FALL ON FALSE RIVER

Fall brings cooler mornings, comfortable evenings by the fire and some of the best weather of the year for fishing, relaxing on the dock and enjoying the screened porch.

Family Ties also makes an inviting home base for LSU/Southern football weekends, local fall events and New Roads’ Harvest Festival. Spend the day exploring or cheering on your team, then come back to the lake, light the fire pit and settle in for the evening.

October dates are currently available, including select weekends.

THE DETAILS THAT MATTER

False River is a natural oxbow lake with calm water and no current, making it well suited for families enjoying time on the water. Local restaurants, grocery stores and boat launches are only minutes away.

A dedicated workspace with a desk and chair is available for anyone who needs to sneak in a few hours of work. EV charging is available in the carport using an upgraded Level 1 outlet; guests should bring their own charging cable.
