The pool was wonderfulLisa greeted us with champagne and snacks (and sparkling cider for my daughter) after a very long travel time.She checked on us and made excellent recommendations throughout the week. There is nothing better than going on a well-earned vacation and experience the winning trifecta of an island paradise, comfortable accommodation, and strangers who treat you like family.Such was our experience when we jetted to the Turks and Caicos at the end of 2024, exchanging the cold of North America for nearly a week of invigorating sunshine.'Twas the manifestation of the proverbial "pie in the sky"In a magical place the locals sometimes refer to as TILocated along a nondescript side street with a fruity addressOn the friendly and enchanting island of ProvidencialesYes folks, right in the middle of the Christmas seasonWith beauty and hospitality among the many reasonsA group of us chose to descend on paradise in the oceanAnd not to just lie on the beach and be lathered with suntan lotionLorraine was tasked with locating suitable accommodationAnd after an exhaustive search she had come to a decisionA two-storeyed building with three bedrooms was her selectionAnd so began the slow countdown to our dream vacationWe were met at the airport by the ebullient hostess LisaWho exuded an aura of warmth that could quell any disasterWearing a smile that would be the envy of a Disney greeterAnd setting the stage for a vacation of which there would be none betterThere are certain elements that are key to the perfect vacationFor outdoor lovers there is choice of the ideal locationOf equal importance some might say access to transportationAnd on both counts L
