About this house rental
Newly renovated 1000 square foot cabin located on the east side of Lake Cornelia in Clarion, Iowa. 2 bedrooms - 1 with a queen bed, 1 with twin size bunk beds and a pull out full size futon. The couch also pulls out into a queen size mattress. Cable TV, dishwasher, washer and dryer. 20x20 beautiful patio with built in fireplace. Large yard with private spacious driveway. Public beach and boat ramp less than 2 miles away. Small private beach access affiliated with the property. No WiFi available. No smoking. No pets. Boat rental is available!

House was clean but there were a lot of flies! Listing said no Wi-Fi, but there was also no TV.

Loved the open floor plan! Nice updated cabin by the lake. Decorations were very nice. We found the backlighting for the Lake Cornelia sign— you might tell people the switch is under the sink. The side big yard and porch were excellent places to hang out. We even had a fire the night of the blue moon! Well-stocked kitchen that we felt we can use— plastic containers, foil, plastic wrap, napkins, but we left behind our paper products. It was just nice to have all the supplies available. Wonderful location- close to family that lives down the road and we had views of the lake. I don’t know where the public access would be. Questionable how many people it sleeps— probably 2 adults and kids. Glad for the luggage racks, because there were no places to put my clothes. However, the large living space was fantastic! Btw, we cleaned out our food, but left what was already in the fridge & freezer. It was no problem. It worked out fantastic for us!

This was a great stay. I appreciated all the additional kitchen appliances and utensils to make meals with. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace and hooking up to bluetooth speaker to listen to music. In addition, the patio was a great, too!

We had a wonderful stay at the property. It was extremely well stocked with everything you could ever need. The way the home is decorated is very nice. Our only problem was we had tripping hazards with all the rugs in the home. I almost fell more than once. The corners of the rug in the living room, curl up and our tripping hazards. The rug in the bathroom when you step on it it slides forward so you take a ride when you go into the bathroom which almost caused me to fall in there as well. The shower has no mat in it so that’s extremely slippery as well. I would also suggest leaving the dressers free of pictures and clutter, so that the guest could put things on top of them. I also was not contacted for over eight hours about the home and had to leave early in the morning for our funeral. I would’ve liked to have been contacted within an hour of or two of asking about the property. Overall, we really enjoyed the home. And it was very beautiful and quiet.
