Welcome to Serenity—a true, mountain cabin tucked away in the deep woods of Alma N.Y.. If you are looking to escape the hustle of modern life, shut out the noise, and completely immerse yourself in nature, this is your peaceful haven.Our cabin is a classic, sturdy, vintage-style forest dwelling designed for relaxation and outdoor connection. Step outside onto the expansive elevated deck to drink your morning coffee among the hemlock boughs, grill dinner at sunset, or marvel at the brilliant, unpolluted night skies.
The space:
This is a traditional, well-worn, and well-loved cabin. It is cozy, sturdy, and intentionally simple so you can focus on the environment around you.
The Great Outdoors: Enjoy private access to beautifully maintained, private hiking trails right out your front door. Perfect for morning walks with your four-legged companion!
The Location: Completely secluded and quiet, yet situated just a convenient 10-15 minute drive into the heart of Wellsville for local stores and dining.
The cabin is fully furnished with all necessary cooking implements, propane, linens, towels, soap & shampoo. There is a campsite with a picnic table chairs, chair hammocks & fire ring. Firewood for the fire pit and wood-stove is available for purchase. Please order firewood prior to your arrival.
Guest access:
Guests have access to the entire site plus the use of 8 miles of common, well marked & maintained hiking trails. Trails are all marked and listed on a detailed trail map.
We believe in absolute transparency so our guests have the perfect stay. Please keep these authentic mountain characteristics in mind before booking:Rustic Infrastructure: The cabin features functional, classic styling. It is older and vintage, but exceptionally clean, cozy, and fully equipped with a warm heater for winter nights and a seasonal AC unit.Pure Mountain Well Water: Our property utilizes local natural well water. Because of the naturally high iron and mineral content of our mountain springs, you may notice slight characteristic discoloration on the vinyl shower base. Please rest assured the entire bathroom is rigorously sanitized and sparkling clean between every single guest!Kitchenette: A small, sufficient kitchenette is available with the essentials you need for light meal prep, a coffee maker, and a refrigerator.If you appreciate privacy, stunning views, rustling trees, and the simple charm of a classic woodsman’s getaway, Serenity will not disappoint. We look forward to hosting your peaceful retreat!

What a great cabin. The view from the deck was amazing, and the cabin was truly secluded. We brought our dog, Kane, who also had an amazing time running up and down the slope of the property. They had everything we needed, and we enjoyed our trip. I came for the stars in the dark sky, and they did not disappoint. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

This cabin is absolutely breathtaking. We came here to escape the noise of the Big Apple, and what we discovered was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was something special. Surrounded by tall trees and with sweeping views of the mountains, it felt like stepping into a postcard.Each morning began with the soft drift of fog over the trees, and each night ended under a sky full of stars, accompanied by the sounds of nature all around us. It was peaceful, grounding, and exactly what we needed to disconnect and recharge.If you love hiking and being immersed in nature, this place is perfect — with scenic trails just minutes from the door and wildlife all around, it feels like your own private retreat in the woods.We’re incredibly grateful to have found this gem. Thank you for sharing it with us and allowing us to create such unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to return.

Experienced a wonderful short term “getaway”.Lisa was wonderfully easy to correspond with.Any questions or concerns were addressed in a very punctual manner. A very beautiful and private property which was tranquil/serene. Our four-legged canine (Sköl), had a wonderful time!

If you want incredibly quiet, this is your place. About 4 miles from Wellsville, this rustic cabin is secluded in the woods. It is older and well worn but sturdy. A lovely deck for reading and relaxing or having coffee. We did not cook food but the small kitchenette is sufficient. Towels and some small toiletries are included. Parking is nearby. And no bears!
