You'll absolutely fall in love with this cute 2 bed cottage surrounded by natural habitat on the banks of the Hawkesbury River only 1.5hrs from Sydney. Whether it's lazing in the hot tub, lounging in front of the wood fire place, enjoying river activities or listening to live music at the local, there is something here for everybody.

This was our annual pilgrimage to celebrate my birthday and a wonderful excuse to escape the city. Wagtail had everything we needed and as it was a rainy weekend, the indoor fire, hot tub and sauna were just perfect and put to very good use. Kitchen had all the amenities you needed. Two nice bedrooms. A comfortable lounge and decent sized TV with Netflix etc. Lots of books and games. The property was contemporary and had a nice vibe and tasteful decor. Because of the weather, we didn’t really use the outside area except for the hot tub. Images are accurate. David was super responsive and came across as a very nice person. Gave us an earlier check in and later check out. We had home delivery from Spencer Thai one evening and ate out one lunchtime at The Anchor, both 2 minute drive away and recommended. The property is fairly remote from shops and amenities, so take everything you need. We stopped in Hornsby en route from Sydney for shopping. You definitely need a car to stay here. Would stay again!

There weren’t any shops nearby, and it wasn’t very clean for a family place, but the firewood was good.
