The property was exactly as pictured and described on line. We were on a girls trip with 8 women between the ages of 75-85 and we stayed for 6 nights. We had plenty of room and beds. Crystal was very on top of things and so accommodating. We loved our stay and hated to leave. While we were there we went tubing in Helen, white water rafting on the Ocoee in Tennessee, explored Dahlonega’s Gold museum and restaurants on the square, hiked to Anna Ruby falls, visited the zoo, went wine tasting and roasted marshmallows around the fire pit. The cabin was central to all our activities and was perfect for our stay.

I know it's been a few months since we visited, however am still dreaming of this cabin! Immediately upon reserving Crystal sent over things to do, places to go and eat. Did not expect that, and much appreciated. She was very responsive to any questions or additional details. The cabin was lovely! We went in the off-ish season, in Feb. and it was still a little chilly out and it was lovely waking up every morning, having a cup of coffee and rocking in the front enclosed, heated, front/mud room! It was relaxing. The cabin is easy to find and close to a lot of things. Pretty much across the street from Wolf Mountain Vineyards. Other locations close by/not a far drive: 3-sisters, Accent Cellars, Big Creek Distillery. Definitely hit up Mountain Laurel Creek Inn and Spa for massages and lunch. The cabin is close to downtown and about 15-20 minutes from a Publix to stock up on food to cook at the cabin. We also ventured to Ellijay for a day (45-60 minute drive) and did some hiking nearby. Bonus was that they allow pups. It was the perfect place for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Our check in and check out went smoothly. The host was available for any questions. The bed are very comfortable. Thank you for hosting our family. We enjoyed Dahlonega and the surrounding area!

The Gold mine cabin is located in a quiet secluded area. If you or your party have any disabilities the steps getting in and out of the cabin can be difficult. The area to park more than one vehicle is not level. The pictures shown in the search for the property make the inside of the cabin look larger than it is. The black and white bedroom is very tight. The red and white room is larger and we were able to put the babies play pen at the foot of the bed and still have room to walk around the room. There are closets in the two bedrooms with plenty of room to hang your clothes. The loft upstairs only has pipes attached to the wall to hang clothes. The bedrooms on the first floor have no chest of drawers to take clothes out of your suitcases, so you will have to live out of your suitcase during your stay.The temperature during our stay was freezing and the heater kept the cabin warm and comfortable. There was plenty of hot water during our stay and with four adults we never ran out of hot water. The kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms were all clean. The outdoor deck area was unkept with bottle caps and a cooler left behind. I haven’t contacted the host but there is a slight leak in the roof by the skylight over the kitchen island. The internet was reliable and it worked very well. As you walk into the cabin be careful because the floor is uneven. From the hallway it slopes down towards the kitchen island. Well, we had a great time during our stay at the Gold Mine Cabin.
