About this cabin rental
Welcome to the historic Homestead at the Dripping Springs. This house is one of three available lodgings each of the three dwellings are unique to their time period, style and setting. Clara's House and Willie Mae's Cottage are all part of the Homestead at the Dripping Springs and can be reserved at the same time to sleep 8 people. The property contains the original dripping springs for which the town was named. The Homestead is centrally located in the Historic Mercer Street District of Dripping Springs, close to shops, wedding venues, wine trails, parks and beautiful country roads.
Come back to a simpler time at The Butler Cabin. Relax on the porch with your coffee or under the shade of the giant oak fenced corral where a swing, table and chairs and washer pitching remind you of days gone by. The cabin has an antique high-back wooden bed, rocking chairs, small kitchenette, stand up shower and an antique wardrobe reflecting the time period.
Includes free continental breakfast, AC, flat screen TV, WIFI, queen-sized bed, hairdryer, and a snack basket.

There are so many good things I can say… clean, quaint, comfortable, cute decor, loved the history, good location, I’m aware of the huge investment made to create this idyllic getaway. Price seemed terribly high for what it was. This wasn’t a luxury resort. It’s barely above glamping. The bread loaves were outstanding. But on the whole On the down side… a very limited continental breakfast was not what i expected for a place that advertised itself as a Bed and BREAKFAST. At least offer some cold hard boiled eggs! There was no protein. Maybe some peanut butter or beef jerky. Small apples and oranges, but a nice touch. Also 4 little tiny bagels. Nothing fresh brought in for the 2nd day. Selection of beverages included some nice things but no tea. Beautiful setting but not enough turn around space. Almost impossible to turn around to avoid backing onto a busy road. We Never met the hosts. When the price is this high rhey need to be extra special.

This is our second stay at the Butler Cabin. Each time has been wonderful. Every little detail from the sweet continental breakfast and snacks to the journal and decor are fabulous and take us back to a different time. The blue bonnets were in bloom and seeding. The lizards were out hunting and the breeze was in full swing on the porch. Things are so peaceful and slow paced at this beautiful location. It's nice to take a walk down to the creek or to the shops, breweries, and food establishments. And one cannot forget Hudson's on Mercer for live music and a drink. Our stay is always lovely and we will continue to come back for many years. Charlie and Sherry are very responsive to all messages and ensure our stay is a special one. Thank you Charlie and Sherry for sharing a piece of your heart and personalities with us. May God continue to Bless you and those you come into contact with. This or any of their cabins on this property are a MUST STAY!
