This property was a very nice long weekend for my family of four dog. It was quite clean, the kitchen/living room set up made it easy to hang out, as did the fire pit and hot tub. It also was a good launching point for adventures at Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. The kitchen is well stocked with basic supplies like olive oil and salt, there were pots/pans, utensils, bowls, and an awesome amount of counter space. We didn’t use the grill but there were tongs and flippers and the supplies you would want there too. Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, extra blankets were on site. We had a lot of fun in the game room playing Pac-Man. Communication with the property manager was easy and prompt and when I was struggling with the sauna someone was there within minutes to help. I had a few small quibbles with the situation. First, the road in is challenging and a pitted, potholed, dirty mess. We were OK in our 4 wheel drive but between the mud and the steep grade individuals might be concerned in a sedan. Second the “yard” was just rocks and gravel and our dog hated it. Refused to walk beyond the concrete patio after the second day. Third, the two bathrooms were quite small. It would be hard to share that space if all the bedrooms were occupied. It was fine for our family of 4. If it were 8 or 10 I think the whole house would feel extremely cramped. Overall this was a really nice stay! We would come back!

The cabin was perfect for 4 adults and a toddler — great space for shared meals at the kitchen island and unwinding on the couches or in the hot tub after hiking. Communication was responsive leading up to the trip & when we had a door issue on day 3.There were a few drawbacks including having no insulation so there’s visible gaps in the logs, likely letting insects in. Pillows on the upstairs bedrooms were left unprepared on arrival, and the sauna had bee nests inside. Overall, slightly underwhelming for the price paid, but a solid base for going out to explore Shenandoah.
