The host's father met us at the apartment to handover keys and to give us a brief overview of where to find things. Despite his lack of English and our lack of French we managed to communicate very well.Our host very kindly allowed us to checkin prior to the normal checkin time which was most appreciated.The apartment itself was very well located in centre of old town so made it easy to walk to different market stalls and restuarants.The apartment is located on the first floor accessed by stairs only. The one bedroom apartment was roomy with a well equipped kitchen which made it easy to prepare our own meals. We did not need parking but if you need there is a public car park area approx 200m walk.Our only negative comment would be the bed which was not so comfortable due to thin mattress and a couple of slats would slip out and it was not possible to always keep them in place.In conclusion, we have no hesitation recommending this property both the apartment and host were great.

A very nice location (except for parking- though public parking doable)
Unfortunately communication with owner was difficult as everything they wrote was in French- so some confusion as to their expectations for our responsibilities. Would be great if Vrbo could provide a translation service. Also, your age bracket is very broad with only having adults 18+. Senior citizens might have a separate category as their needs might be different.

A great location in such a charming village. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed. It was a very comfortable stay. Wish we would have had more time. I didn’t want to leave.

The apartment is very well equipped, modern, warm, clean, with a comfortable bed & good shower. Bretzel is on the middle floor, with similar apartments both above & below. The building itself fits in well with all of the others in this very picturesque & charming village. Whilst there is no parking at the property, there is a public car park approx. 100m away, costing 3 euros per day. (you can park outside for unloading/loading on arrival & departure, so no struggling with luggage).
Very friendly & helpful owner, who speaks fluent English.
Didn't manage to use any of the local restaurants, some of which were closed due to the time of year, as there are so many other places to visit both in the Alsace region, and further afield.
A very enjoyable stay, I would certainly recommend Bretzel.
