About this cabin rental
Trout House is a brand new log cabin located just 25 minutes outside of Boone and just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is situated in a postcard like setting on four beautiful acres with a class A stocked trout stream that runs directly behind the cabin the stream. Elk Creek is rated as a second cleanest stream and all of North Carolina. If you are looking for a stream side cabin you will not find a better location anywhere. There is abundant wildlife including trout, deer, turkey, fox, beavers, and birds.

We had an awesome time during our stay! We loved that things were labeled and laid out in a comfortable manner. Being in the hot tub and listening to the stream was the ultimate in relaxation!

Remote and very quiet location. The trout stream is beautiful. It's a little out of the way and requires travelling on gravel roads to get there. Fantastic getaway cabin.

Amazing! This property was perfect! When we were there the river was shallow enough for the kids to easily and safely play in. There is a very easy access point to get into it. We saw a bald eagle while exploring the river! While sitting on the back deck drinking our coffee in the mornings, we saw a black bear, deer, a blue heron, and lots of other birds. They have wonderful rocking chairs to enjoy the deck from. The hot tub was awesome. The cabin had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen and there is a grill on the deck. The bathrooms are very nice. The only things to note so you know before you go - the roads around there are steep, windy, and some are gravel even - so be prepared for that. The beds’ mattresses are very firm - some might like that, we didn’t love it. There were a lot of mosquitoes and other bugs - that’s to be expected in the wilderness- but we found that bug spray really helped so bring some. I think the host sells bundles of firewood for 5 bucks or you can bring or buy some. Overall, it was amazing and we’d definitely go back!!

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous. It was a perfect layout, so clean, and wonderfully accommodating for all of us.
