About this cottage rental
The Ellingham Cottages are nestled within the beautiful parish of St Martins in the south-east of the island. We are only two miles from picturesque harbour town of St Peter Port and yet are perfectly located for easy access to the stunning south-coast cliffs for scenic hikes; tranquil green lanes ideal for leisurely walks and bike rides; and quiet sandy bays perfect for sunbathing away from the crowds.
The Ellingham Cottages has 12 two and three-bedroom cottages. Three of the cottages are rated as 'superior' cottages as they offer that little bit more than the (still very lovely) 'classic' cottages. Guests can enjoy enhanced amenities such as wall-mounted televisions in one of the bedrooms, a private Netflix account, DAB radios and luxury toiletries. Whilst the classic cottages enjoy a shared terrace, these superior cottages each have a private terrace or courtyard with built-in BBQ.
This spacious cottage is on the ground-floor and sleeps 4 people, with a king-bed in the master bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom. It is is popular with guests who have mobility issues and also for families with young children, as is at the back of the complex with a private terrace overlooking the garden. This good-size terrace has direct access to the garden and enjoys the afternoon and evening sun. There is a built-in BBQ and seating to enjoy al-fresco dining.
The cottage has a large living room with a wall-mounted TV, DvD and digital channels including Netflix and BBC iPlayer. The good-size fully-equipped kitchen has all that you should need for your stay, including a washing machine and a dishwasher. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The master bedroom has a king-size bed plus patio doors to the terrace. The second bedroom is set-up as a twin room with two single beds.
The cottage is rated as 'partially accessible' by AccessAble. There is a ramp leading to the front door, plus from the living room to the terrace. The hall and doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair to pass. The light switches are set lower on the walls.

The location was top, the apartment clean and our host, Simon, was teally nice and helpful. We felt at home at once, especially with the lovely black cats, Luna and Oreo, who were keeping us company every evening.

Really enjoyed our stay at Ellingham Cottages. We stayed here while visiting family who live in Gurnsey and it was an ideal base. Lovely spacious rooms and well equipped. The library of books, dvds and games is a great extra and a few complimentary groceries (Gurnsey butter, Gurnsey Gauche, bread, cheese) was a really nice touch.
Would use this property again on a return visit to Guensey.
