About this house rental

We have summer dates still available, August 22-28th. Dun Morain holiday home is THE place to stay while exploring the Dingle Peninsula. Proudly overlooking the Atlantic Sea, this 5 bedroom (all with private ensuite bathrooms) offers breathtaking views from every room. Experience the Dingle peninsula like a true local in the village of Ballydavid located just 7 scenic miles from Dingle town center. If you miss Ballydavid- its views, pubs and people, you’ve missed the peninsula!

Walk the dramatic coastline from your own back door (expect to see NO ONE except a few startled sheep), relax on our stone picnic table and watch the sunset, play pool upstairs with the large windows that open to the countryside, or start a fire in the living room. Enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Smerwick Bay, the Three Sisters, and Mount Brandon all from the living room.

An Bothar Pub is the nearest pub at about a 6 minute drive. The house is also close to Ballyferriter with local pubs and restaurants at a 15 minute drive.

Several lovely towns with restaurants and pubs that dot the coastline are only a short distance away. With over 30 years of traveling to the peninsula, let us help you plan your perfect vacation.

Find out for yourself why National Geographic Explorer voted the Dingle Peninsula THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE ON EARTH!!

A little off the beaten path but well worth the few km's it takes to get to this magnificent place from Dingle (as a reference). The instructions given to enter were clear and it was easy to access. We came in on a rather warm day and the host was able to help us get the house aired out and cooled down in no time. When you arrive, go to the laundry room and turn on the zone for the hot water so when you're ready to shower the water will be nice and toasty. We were a family of three and only utilized the downstairs bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were all in perfect working order. The beds we slept in were very comfortable and pillows were just fine. The first evening we were there we didn't know where to go to eat and found a very quant pub/ restaurant nearby called An Bochar Pub. Great food, drinks, atmosphere. The next two nights we were able to cook a fine Salmon dinner (acquired at the large grocery in Dingle) in the kitchen with the most amazing views of the sea. They had all the kitchenware you would need and much more, After dinner we enjoyed playing pool upstairs. The upstairs windows by the pool table open up into a balcony making the views of three sisters seem like you were right there next to it. We made many trips into Dingle which is a hop skip and the aquarium in Dingle is affordable and my kid loved it. In all, our trip to this house was very beautiful, even on a windy rainy day!!

EXCELLENT location for those who want a beautiful and quiet setting near Dingle and Slea Head Drive. Beautiful home! Well equipped.

We could not have been happier with this stay. Less than 15 mins outside of Dingle but felt like you were on the edge of the world. Beautiful backyard view. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 kids (4 and 2 years old) and had more than enough room to spread out. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we could need. Our host was incredibly responsive and kind. We would LOVE to come back someday soon. Thank you John!

This was an absolutely gorgeous home to stay in during our group's time on the Dingle Peninsula, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a VRBO on the West Coast! It was about 15 minutes away from Dingle town; had the most beautiful views out of the dreamy windows; was stocked with anything you could need (we loved playing pool and poker by the fire in the evenings); and communication with the host and house manager was easy and clear (we also loved the compiled list of recommendations for our time in Ireland). Although we booked this property as two couples, this would be a great home for a large family trip, as there is lots of space and rooms. You'll find easy parking, laundry (wash), a fireplace, pool table, a collection of movies and a smart TV, and a clean home when you arrive. We also were treated to a basket of goodies when we arrived, which was such a treat! We would highly recommend this home to anyone, and would certainly book again. Thank you!
