Beautiful house in a quiet area. Garden was amazing and the pool was a big hit!
The cleanliness though was very poor. When the sun shone, the cobwebs over the fireplace etc were shocking! Slug trails on the rugs most mornings. Dead flies in the display cabinet.
The house just needs a really good cleaning blitz and then it would be much more comfortable.
It also needs at least one electric shower, or at the very least, wall mounted showers as it’s very hard to hold a hand held one whilst trying to wash!
Despite the niggles, we had a lovely week here and I’d recommend it.

It seldom happens that reality equals the pictures used in the ad for a holiday home. Well, here it surely was the case, and even better: the big garden behind it and the beautiful surroundings came on top of it. Perfect place if you like hiking too, because there are lots of nice long walks in the neighbourhood. The house was clean and tidy and a new carpet had been put in the big bedroom. Of course it is an old house, and in one bathroom you had to be patient with the water, but that was no problem. The house has an astonishing history and we just loved staying there. Since it was a bit chilly downstairs in the evening, we enjoyed the wood fire very much. Tony and Helen also gave us very good advice on where you could get excellent pub food. This holiday was just one big smile, from the beginning till the end!
