Cowford Oast lies in the owner’s grounds surrounded by beautiful, established gardens and tranquil rolling hills, forests and fields. Yet the bustling spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is less than 5 miles away. The area is closely tied with the Neville family who arrived in England with William the Conqueror and settled at Eridge Park. One of their guests, Dudley Lord North, discovered the iron rich Chalybeate Spring and Tunbridge Wells was born. You too can meet the ’Dipper’, taste the waters and promenade along The Pantiles. Alternatively hone your culinary skills at the Rosemary Shrager Cookery School. Explore the plethora of footpaths on the doorstep, visit vineyards at Lamberhurst, stunning gardens such as Penshurst Place, Groombridge Place and Scotney Castle Gardens, which can all be reached within 15 minutes. Fishing and golf are available locally, and there are good rail connections to London for further sightseeing opportunities. Beach 26 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. The welcome pack was amazing! but won't spoil the surprise. The cottage was lovely and comfortable , very well equiped, everything had been thought of, and lovingly put together, to make a very comfortable break. It was a high quality venue. We came away feeling we had recharged our batteries.The pub down the road was perfect, for a roast dinner. We will return! I would only say two things that would make the venue perfect, could there be a full mirror, by the top of the stairs, so I can dry my hair? Cbviously not important, but it would make it easier! Also the TV was very small, and the volume was very poor, would have loved a bigger TV. Thank for a truely memorable time. Plenty of memories to take back with us.

This was such a wonderful find. We enjoyed our stay immensely and it was in a perfect location for us, (having previously lived in the area) we found our way around easily.The hosts were so generous with their welcome hamper, which was a welcome surprise from our long journey, it made the stay all the more relaxing. Thank you again for allowing us to stay in such a beautiful home in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back again.

Excellent location - including walks from the door, and plenty of options for trips out.
Generously proportioned, unique warm accommodation.
Generous, individual touches with a welcome pack. Freezer space for a few meals in.
