Lovely cottage which provided everything we were looking for in a holiday away from all the hussle and bussle. It is spacious, quaint and perfectly situated in peaceful and beautiful surroundings, stocked with all essentials. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Dickinson for replying to our initial heating queries so quickly and for the welcome gift. The property is old so be prepared for the squeaky floorboards and rickety staircase, as well as spiders. A small sacrifice for being out in the sticks. We loved every moment.(It may be worth noting the hot water works when the blue light in the bathroom cupboard is turned off)

We have been to little knot on numerous occasions. It is ideal for us . Couldn't be better.

A unique cottage we look forward very much to coming back to. It is a perfect base for the south lakes. The large open upstairs room is ideal for group visits. It has all the facilities and amenities you'd need. Be warned though, there's no Smeg Fridge or Aga for a slow cooker and if you've brought a brand new Barbour in your Chelsea Tank, it might not be for you. Can't wait to get back next year.

We had a fantastic time at Little Knott, a beautiful 400 year old cottage that was clean, comfortable and well proportioned. There was a very welcome bottle of Prosecco waiting for us and some basic stocks in the cupboard. It is on quite a busy road but the views and neighbouring sheep more than made up for that plus it was easy to get to lots of lovely spots from there. Everything we needed was there. The garden isn’t quite enclosed and our dog is quite big so we needed to keep him on a long lead in the garden, it wasn’t a problem though. There’s some quirks to the layout of the cottage as you would expect from a 17th century cottage such as the washing machine and freezer being in a room accessed from the outside, all part of the fun! We thoroughly enjoyed the space and comfort of the cottage and the beautiful location so close to the lakes and fells. I would definitely recommend Little Knott as a holiday cottage and just be aware of the quirks and enjoy them!
