Great views and location! Plenty of space for the kids. Kitchen could have used more supplies/dishes/cooking utensils. No fire pit was a bummer too.

Everything was great when we booked, checked-in, and first arrived at the house. It sits in a beautiful mountain top neighborhood and the views are unbelievable. Unfortunately, 4 days into the trip we saw mice running around the basement. We could no longer use the pool, hot tub, pool table, and my 3 kids had to sleep on the floor in the upstairs bedrooms.
When I contacted Grant he said someone would be out first thing the next morning. The maintenance person did not show up until 2pm the next afternoon. He put down a few traps and left. I contacted Grant about how he could/would compensate us for this major inconvenience.
His exact statement was, "I'm sorry to hear about the mouse that was discovered in the basement. We regularly employ pest control measures, but unfortunately, it's challenging to prevent occasional encounters with critters, bears, and insects, especially in the mountains. As a result, I'm unable to provide a refund. However, as a returning guest, I'd be happy to offer you a discount should you choose to stay with us again." I found this to be COMPLETELY unacceptable.
If we entered the house before 4pm or left after 10am, we would be fined. If we blocked the driveway, we would be fined, if we brought a pet, we would be fined. But having mice in the house and not being able to use 1/3 of the house is "just part of renting a house in the mountains."
To say I am disappointed on how our trip ended and how Grant communicated with me is an understatement.
