Brotes is our secret corner of Tuscany, nestled in the heart of the Montagnola Senese, a protected area where vineyards and olive groves mingle with ancient forests. Here, you can truly listen to the silence, let nature set the pace, and enjoy the freedom of being far from it all.
At 580 meters above sea level, the estate sits atop a hill surrounded by centuries-old chestnut trees. Getting here is part of the adventure: the iconic strade bianche wind through woods, vineyards, and olive groves, revealing a new side of Tuscany at every turn.
The estate features three independent apartments, each with its own privacy and stairway access. This apartment offers spacious rooms and thoughtful details to make you feel at home. From one window, you can gaze across the landscape and spot the silhouette of Monte Amiata in the distance.
Wake up among forests and vineyards. Enjoy the pool, hot tub, or sauna, stroll through the olive groves, and watch unforgettable sunsets. Here, small moments become lasting Tuscan memories.
We grow our own grapes and olives, producing wine and oil in a culture where the land, good food, and sharing still matter. In season, we invite you to visit our vegetable garden and pick what the earth provides.
Siena is just 25 minutes away, with Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, and Volterra within easy reach.
We are in a protected natural area without door-to-door waste collection, so we appreciate your help in keeping this place beautiful by disposing of waste at nearby points.

Pros: We particularly enjoyed the lovely pool area and the wonderful hospitality of our hosts, Mariana and Juan who made sure that we had a brilliant time. We loved the wine tasting and look forward to enjoying our purchases now we are back home.

Pros: The garden, pool area and the views. It’s like waking up to tuscan paradise. There is nothing that could’ve been better during our stay (except the weather lol). It’s a bit far from stores, but you don’t want to leave anyway.
But our hosts were angels and let us catch a ride to the supermarket and even drove us to the train station even though they didn’t have to, so we got very lucky. They really went above and beyond, have never met sweeter people!
Cons: We didn’t want to leave, and should have booked a longer stay! We also should have explored the garden ect more, but next time
(We would rent a car next time, if we have a longer stay)
