About this house rental
The perfect family vacation along the Oregon Coast ~ you won’t find a better view!
This three-bedroom, 2 bath home (Sleeps 7) has been completely remodeled with some of the finest finishing touches and new furniture. Two bedrooms have direct views of the ocean and lighthouse, one bedroom has a partial view of the ocean. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, in even the stormiest weather, the view is always amazing. Hot tub recently added to back deck. (Please follow all hot tub rules.) *An additional $50 cleaning fee is required for stays 14-30 days long.
Located in the Agate Beach neighborhood at the north end of town, conveniently close to beaches, parks, restaurants, and local shops.
The beautifully remodeled kitchen with brand new appliances has plenty of prep space ~ you can even see the view of the ocean from the kitchen island! Lounge on the couch in the living room and take in the panoramic view, enjoy the cozy fire in the fireplace, or watch a movie. Whatever you do, you will surely enjoy your time.
Also included are a washer and dryer, Wifi and four flatscreen TVs with cable.
Visible from this home, is the historic Yaquina Head Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse in Oregon, first lit in 1873 and now open for tours. Walk through the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area to explore the tidepools and do some birdwatching. Or, catch a current movie at the Newport Cinema, less than a half-mile from your front door right across Hwy 101.
A rough path to the beach is located one block south (a steady foot may be required). Easier beach access is just two miles south to the Agate State Beach Recreation Site where you can walk along the beach or play in the water. Or, continue south to downtown Newport for the world-famous Oregon Coast Aquarium and fun attractions like Ripley's Believe It Or Not, The Wax Works, and the Oregon Undersea Gardens, all just four miles away along Newport's historic bay front.

Great location for atremding our graduate's ceremonies at Oregon State University. Plenty of room to spread out, quiet neighborhood, beautiful view, and a well stocked kitchen. We will stay here again of our travels bring us to Newport in the future.

Fort Awesome was Amazing. Beautiful location, loved sitting in the deck watching the waves, on the rainy days we sat inside and had the same great view. Can even see the lighthouse from the living room. Stunningly beautiful. The house is comfortable and laid out well. We spent a lot of time at the table doing puzzles and playing games. Kitchen had everything we needed and it was nice to have washer and dryer. I am already looking for dates to come back. Would love to make it an annual trip.

We loved this place. We took our mom with us, and it was so nice that i was all one level. A couple small steps into the house but after that having it all one level was so convenient, along with the low profile shower. We werent expecting it, but it made it so much easier. We will definitely be going back.

View was great. Barbecue was difficult to start. Hard to have a campfire when quiet time is 9:30 and it gets dark at nine. It makes you nervous to sit outside at night. Not worth the price.
