We have stayed in a few places in Morganton over the last two years and this place by far has the best view. It’s pretty stunning. The cabin is nice and we loved the screened in deck. The road up is quite the adventure if you’re not used to driving on steep mountain roads, and there are 3-4 true hairpin turns, but this shouldn’t discourage you from staying here. We loved it and will be back again. Best tip I can give is the refrigerator doesn’t have an ice maker so bring ice.

This spot was absolutely gorgeous. Came up here as a surprised birthday celebration for my boyfriend. The location of this wonderful house was is the prefect spot for Mountain View’s, city lights at night, and gorgeous sunset and sunrises. And central to everywhere we wanted to visit as well as have a peaceful and relaxing time on the mountain with all the nature and creatures surrounding us and got to see.

Lovely place. Beautiful views. Spacious and comfortable. Water issue was resolved quickly. There were a couple men hanging around the next door cabin both days we were there, which didn’t align with the quiet, private getaway I thought I was booking. Also, I was excited to star gaze with the telescope shown in multiple pictures but it was no where to be found. Overall, nice place, good trip.
