Once described by a guest to be an "eccentric and funky" place is more aptly described as an imaginatively fun and artsy "beach house" with tastefully selected art, sculptures and figures. On a Private Beach makes for a fun family vacation located in the quaint Town of Melbourne Beach, Florida. It is paradise ripe fun filled get-a-away for a relaxing quiet stay or, one packed with surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, surf fishing, swimming, snorkeling. kite flying, kite surfing, wind surfing, and tubing for the ocean frolics to be combined with all the beach-sun fun. From the top deck one can Catch and capture the Cape Canaveral rocket launches. These rocket launches are readily seen from the patio deck with or without the telescope. The "beach house" is convenient to plenty of golf, boating, bicycling, jogging, restaurants, major shopping including that of down-town Melbourne. It has 3 bedrooms with king-size beds and 3 1/2 baths with elevator for handicap guests and an outdoor shower for rinsing from the day at the beach. The beach house is located on nearly acre, its an private ocean front estate with pet friendly escapes to a fenced yard for their personal business. There is the local Eau Gallie Arts District where the Indian River Lagoon is known for its galleries and Foosaner Art Museum. Period buildings include the Rossetter House Museum & Gardens, restored to its 1908 appearance. Across the lagoon, there are parks set-up for bird watching, a turtle museum, including the Howard E. Futch Memorial Park at Paradise Beach faces the Atlantic Ocean. North, Brevard Zoo features a kayak tour through an African habitat. We stayed for one week during the month of February. The house has amazing views of the ocean in all bedrooms and living room. It is located on a very quiet portion of the beach. If you are looking for a quiet spot this is the place. It is within a few miles to a restaurants, gas stations and a grocery store. Dolphins swam by every day and the launch from Cape Canaveral could be seen and shook the whole house. Ken and Jo Jo took good care of us at the house and at Cheers on the Beach Pub and Grill. We will be back!

We brought our family, nanny, and friend with us to the beach house. We were greeted by Ken who graciously walked us through the house and gave us a tour, showing us where things were for our use. We had some great weather and some memorable times at the residence. We loved the house and some of its unique features and artwork. The place was equipped with everything we needed and more and was in a great location. We spent many mornings watching the sunrise from the porch. The beach was private and quiet and we managed to snag a multitude of conch shells to bring back with us.

Great property right on the ocean. Privacy on all sides.
Beach very uncrowded. Spacious and comfortable home; even an elevator. Good amenities in neighborhood particularly well stocked Publix grocery store. Ken is a super host and readily available, if needed
