Quiet flat in a condo. Perfect location for excursions to Saona island.

Brand new flat in a quiet condo of flats. Good communication with owners. Good location for excursions.

Problems about payment. I couldn’t pay by card, only cash or bank transfer.

One of our best choices for accommodation ever.

We loved this place! It was great for myself, my wife and 2 boys for 8 nights. Where to start... 1) Spacious and beautifully finished. 2) A fantastically equip kitchen 3) Comfy beds and pillows 4) Super wifi and a large-screen TV in the lounge to watch films on. 5) The hosts were very accommodating and let us check in early. They were very responsive on WhatsApp. They seem like lovely people. 6) Electricity is included in the rental price, no hassle with extra costs. We only used the A/C in one room from about 8pm to about 8am. 7) The pool is large and a great resource. Open from 8-8 it's super after a few hours on the beach or just somewhere to cool off in the afternoons or the evening. They are quite strict with open/closing times. 8) No pre-payment and we were able to pay in cash on the first day. 9) Very secure complex. 10) Great value. I think we got a promo price because it was new to booking.com but 75 usd a night is a good price for this apartment. 11) Excellent attention to detail. 12) An easy 20-minute walk to the beach. It's worth noting that the location on booking.com is wrong, the apartment is right next door to the Hotel All Seasons, Bayahibe. Find that on google, and the apartment complex is right next door.

Just a few minor things the hosts might want to consider: 1) The key/entry code was an issue. On check-in, got the entry code via WhatsApp easily. I'm honestly not a fan of these doors where you have to enter a code, we had a bad experience with it in Colombia and we had the same experience here - on day 2 or 3, the code simply didn't unlock the door! Luckily (a) it's a ground-floor apartment so we could jump over the wall and (b) open the patio door which we luckily hadn't locked to allow ourselves to gain entry. If we hadn't left this door open we'd have been really stuck with no way to get in touch with the hosts (as they are not on site) and our phones were in the apartment. The hosts were really good in quickly dropping a physical key around to us which we used for the rest of the stay. I understand the advantage to the host of being able to manage entry remotely but having a real key is so much easier from a guests perspective. 2) The site cleaners are bit overzealous. No shoes on the sun loungers, no drying swimwear on the glass partitions. No shoes outside the apartment door. 3) There is no supermarket in Bayahibe. Of course, this is not the fault of the apartment. The town is small and there are only mini-markets, luckily we stocked up at Jumbo in La Romana on the way to the apartment and we are very glad we did. The mini-markets only have staples such as rice, never-goes-mouldy-bread, tinned fish and avocados. We spent 6,000 peso for an 8-night stay before we arrived and I went again and spent another 8,000 peso on day 3 when it was clear that we didn't want to eat like peasants for the entire stay. Again, this is not about the apartment but it's something to consider when booking. (FYI, a mini but to La Romana is 100 peso one way, takes about 40 minutes and buses are every 30 minutes during the day) 4) More storage hooks would be great.

La ubicación excelente. La aclaración de otros sirvió para encontrar fácil, ya que el nombre está escondido. Un departamento muy amplio con todo lo necesario.

El único problema que tuve es que salí a hacer unas cosas antes del check-out y como no avisé que me quedaba un poco más, me bloquearon la puerta y para colmo había dejado el celular adentro, por suerte los de la entrada tienen el contacto. Es un detalle, pero a tener en cuenta. Hablar con el dueño para que no lo hagan hasta la hora que salgas.
