An absolutely perfect little hideaway for an Oxford stay. Everything is beautifully designed, even the lighting is "just so". Excellent shower - and bath - in the upstairs ensuite, and a 2nd loo downstairs which was helpful as my son stayed on an extra bed which was made up downstairs for the night. Comfortable bed upstairs in the pretty mezzanine with a small but lovely selection of books which kept me reading rather later than planned! Lesley was a very helpful host, quick replies to everything and she helped us out with a free parking space during our stay ('m not sure this is always available, but worth asking), and a later checkout. You enter through a doorway in an old brick wall, then into a tiny but sweet courtyard space, surrounded by stone and brick walls, and then into the apartment. You can bolt the outer courtyard door once you are in, then keep the full length patio doors open and expand the sense of living space - and it was ideal for our small dog too. The apartment is near the station, on a nice street, and an easy walk through the castle into the centre of Oxford. We wandered over to the Handlebar Cafe just 7 mins walk away for a delicious breakfast.
Only just that I'm not sure why it is described as a villa - perhaps gives the wrong impression? Perhaps better described as an utterly charming pied-a-terre, a little gem.
