The décor here is quite modern. There are two entrances: the main front entrance and a side entrance via the garage—which leads to a courtyard outside the kitchen, and then directly into the house through a kitchen door. The garage is spacious and attached to the house; it also features a roll-down metal gate, making it feel very secure. The layout of the rental is long and narrow; the ground floor houses a reasonably sized kitchen and dining area—clearly newly renovated—and a spacious living room where our family of five could gather comfortably without feeling cramped. On both the second and third floors, there are bedrooms at either end (making for a total of four bedrooms!), each furnished with either a double bed or two single beds. Between the bedrooms on each of these floors, the hallway provides access to a long, narrow shower room (the one on the third floor even includes a bathtub) and a separate toilet. This setup makes it very convenient for larger groups, as there is no need to fight over bathroom access! Also, the internet here is quite fast—it’s easily up to the task, even when the kids use it for gaming!

It has to be the air conditioning! When I booked the room on Booking.com, the presence of air conditioning was a key selling point for me, but upon arrival, I discovered there was only heating. Given that Europe experiences heatwaves almost every year, air conditioning really ought to be a standard amenity. Plus, listing both "air conditioning" and "heating" is misleading—it’s easy to assume that means cooling is included, so it was a real letdown to find out it wasn't! Another thing I wasn't too happy about was the location of the washer and dryer. Perhaps due to space constraints, they were situated in the basement. I feel the basement could use some renovation—maybe laying down some flooring or brightening up the space so it doesn't feel so gloomy. Otherwise, every time I went down to do the laundry, I was terrified that a ghost or some bad guy might jump out from a corner—haha!
