The front desk attendant was very friendly and tried her best to assist me in English because, frankly, my Japanese is quite poor. The hotel also looked like it was recently built and everything was quite modern. I remember there being free copies of a Japanese-language newspaper by the elevator (the Yomiuri, maybe?).
The hotel is quite a distance from the nearest train station, Kosugi Station, which worked out for me because it allowed me to stop at a 7-11 on the way and pick up a snack. That does make it more difficult to get to, however, if you don't like to walk longer distances like I do.
