Disappointing stay in quite a run down Villa
The Location was lovely and the gardens were nice .
The property was stinking when we first arrived . The smell only slightly went away on the day we left. It was a very unpleasant smell. The microwave was dirty; cutlery was dirty amongst other items in the kitchen. We just felt the property could do with a good deep clean. When we arrived, the cleaners were just leaving, and we think there is not enough time to clean the villa in between guests leaving and arriving. Some of the outdoor window shutters aren't working and unable to be set to the open position. The sunlounges were dirty, every single one of them had dirt marks on them. The pool rim was dirty, it was actually quite off putting. I think it was not very inviting at all. The pool guy did come, to remove leaves etc however just like the whole house, the pool needs a good deep clean.
Be aware, after you book this Villa, you will then find out you have to pay Electricity on top and leave cash on the table which we were unaware off till after the fact. You cannot flush any toilet paper; you have to put all toilet paper in bins.
There is also CCTV cameras facing the pool and garden which is security purposes however having stayed in other villas before this felt slightly uncomfortable and we are not quite sure if this is even legal as we tried to find out what the law is for rented properties and CCTV facing the pool area and sunlounges.
