Easiest check in ever. Eileen (owner) walked us to our room. Had a drink at the bar with "Q" (owner) when we got back from
our event. Very clean
Would have preferred regular tv for news.

Then room was clean,
photos did not reflect the unique condition of the building. Once there we had to call the owner to check in and get inside. We didn't have phone service but another couple did and called for us. There was no television service and the small room was filled with the king size bed and two end tables. If it were just me by myself, it would have fit but for two it was too cramped.

The owners were absolutely amazing, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating with our hectic baseball tournament schedule. Staying here felt like being in the home of a close friend, and they gave us wonderful local recommendations. The room was perfectly set up and looked exactly as pictured and described online.
Honestly, nothing at all—everything about our stay was wonderful and exceeded our expectations.

The Empire Hotel was clean and owners were very friendly and helpful. We were worried the window AC would not cool the room enough but it worked very well. The mattress was very comfortable. We were happy the place had a bar downstairs where we could have a drink when we returned from our activities in Cooperstown.
Must use own accounts to watch anything on the TV. Fortunately, we were so tired we fell asleep quickly. Furnishings and rooms were dark. Owner explained it is a historic house, built in 1835, and this limited updates he could do to the property.
