Fantastic hosts. Made us feel very welcomed. Great location to visit the Cotswolds. Good food around. The reindeers' tour around the farm was a highlight for our daughter and for us. We could feel the Christmas atmosphere even in August.

It was amazing!!! The lodge was clean and cosy. The beds were very comfortable. The outside space was perfect. The doors can open fully which was lovely in the warm weather we had during our stay. And the lodge isn’t even the best part.
With this being on a working reindeer farm the kids absolutely loved every minute of staying here. The lodge overlooks the Santa’s forest walk and a couple of lovely ponds further down to which you have access to for the duration of the stay. The lodge itself is situated next to where the reindeer stay so they occasionally come up to the gate to say hello. You are away from the road and the gate is closed down so you feel like you can let the kids roam without worry. You open and close the gate yourself on leaving and returning.
On to the hosts Andrew and Clare. They were brilliant from start to finish. We had no issues at all but felt reassured that we could contact them at any time if we did. We did the reindeer herd tour which I can’t recommend highly enough!! It was great to see the reindeer up close and learn about them. Both Andrew and Clare were very knowledgeable and answered every question me and the kids had (which was a lot lol). We got some fantastic pictures and memories that will last a lifetime. Both children cried when we were leaving and haven’t stopped asking when we can go back.
The location is great. Less than a 10 minute drive from Cirencester and a perfect hub to go and explore the Cotswolds. We managed to cram loads into the 3 days we spent here but still wish we had booked an extra day or 2. If you are visiting Bourton on the water I’d definitely recommend allowing a full day for that alone. There’s a pub across the road serving really nice food and drinks and you can get a discount for being guests at the lodge. Definitely book though.
All in all we highly recommend this place and will definitely be looking to stay here again for our next visit to the Cotswolds

Andrew and Clare were very welcoming. They gave us a thorough tour of their farm. Kids loved feeding the reindeers and got to know a lot about them. Andrew is very knowledgeable and we enjoyed his company. The room was small but cosy and very clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
I think the room is a bit small for a family of four especially as my kids are not too little (13 and 9). I think will be good for family with younger kids. The beds were big enough....mattress was comfortable and the bathroom was good sized. Just that not enough space inside the room.
