Evening Entertainment was at a really awkward time when everyone was eating their dinner.

We really enjoyed several aspects of our stay. The pools were well-designed with great amenities, including a bar and organized activities, and the beach setup offered plenty of Bali beds and chairs for relaxing, with near by bar and drink service(no beach side food service). The Club rooms were a nice touch, providing comfortable air-conditioned spaces with drinks and snacks, and the overall access to food and beverages was convenient and abundant.
The resort’s common areas are especially beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Staff were consistently friendly and eager to please, and the personal butler service added a nice level of attention. Evening activities at the 5 de Mayo Plaza were enjoyable, and the live piano music in the French restaurant created a great ambiance there. We also enjoyed the Mexican restaurant.
Some aspects of the property appear to have been hastily constructed, with sloppy workmanship prevalent and visible in the guest areas, including room trim, paint, and much of the tile flooring. This took away from the more elegant, refined experience that was advertised and made us wonder what other corners were cut. In the French restaurant, the ceiling showed several incomplete repairs, and some sections were not even painted.
Housekeeping and room service were lacking for us. Each evening something was missing or not completed, whether it was drinks or towels not being restocked, or the coffee pot not being properly rinsed, or surfaces not being cleaned. Buffet dining was inconsistent with some food just acceptable, some was good, but none of it was outstanding. It was difficult to find warm food on the buffet unless we special ordered it. Service at full-service dining also seemed understaffed at times, which led to longer waits at the table and not enough attention. In addition, the resort did not provide a decent house wine, IMO. However, they offer good wines for purchase.
