Our stay at Giulio’s home in Nardò was, without exaggeration, one of the most beautiful and memorable stays we have ever had.
The house itself is truly exceptional. Every corner, every detail and every piece seems to carry a story. Staying there feels like travelling back in time, surrounded by history, character and authentic Italian charm, while still enjoying all the comforts you could possibly need. It is not simply a place to sleep - it is an experience in itself, and one that we will remember for a very long time.
The location could not have been better. Right in the heart of Nardò’s historic centre, just steps away from the main square, restaurants, cafés and everything that makes this wonderful town so special. You step outside the door and immediately feel part of the atmosphere and everyday life of Nardò.
But what made our stay truly outstanding was Giulio himself. From the very beginning, he was exceptionally kind, polite and attentive. He is a gentleman who naturally inspires respect, and he was always available to help us with absolutely anything we needed during our stay. His genuine hospitality made us feel not simply like guests, but truly welcomed.
Beautiful houses can be found in many places, but hosts who treat their guests with this level of care, generosity and respect are much harder to find.
We sincerely hope that in our future travels we will have the privilege of meeting more people like Giulio -people who understand that true hospitality comes from genuine love and respect for their guests.
Thank you, Giulio, for making our time in Nardò even more special. We arrived as guests and left with wonderful memories.

It’s like staying in a museum. The hosts are fantastic, meeting us at check-in to provide a guided tour of the property and explain how everything works. Giulio has poured his heart and soul into this remarkable converted 16th century olive mill and it is very special. Complete with kitchen, washing machine and comfortable living areas with air-conditioning it is perfectly located on the edge of the old town.
It is an older property so little things are sometimes temperamental but it certainly didn’t detract from our stay. Also the stairs leading down into the apartment are steep and may be a problem for some people.
