Felt like home. Very peaceful location and the room was exceptionally clean and live.Even the washroom is facilitated with a fan and the room is a vintage style perfect for peace vibing.Staff were very friendly and polite and i felt like being in my home.

We are already missing the family and their cozy and beautiful house ( just checked out this morning). Our stay felt like staying with own family. The owners have such a gentle, positive and genuine manner of interacting with their visitors.
Mani, the father listened carefully to what we wanted to visit and do in the area and helped us organize the trips. The mother cooked really nice South Indian food and made kumin and ginger tea when one of us got a headache. They both went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
There is nothing else in our vacation of 3 weeks in Tamil Nadu and Kerala which can compare with the serene evenings spent with the family, drinking tea and chatting about this and that, our countries, lives, Tamil Nadu or the temple festival. Mani invited us to the temple festival, showed us around and made us take part of the event by meeting people and having dinner with the participants at the temple festival.
The house itself is very beautiful and cozy, decorated in a hippy and chettinad mix. Everything you need is there. Warm water, fan, safety, good sleep. We enjoyed just sitting and taking in the peaceful nature and its sounds during the evenings.
The location is good, close to places where you can experience the Chettinad culture and admire the famous Chettinad mansions. Karaikudi, Kandanur, Athangudi and Kanadukathan is what we visited during our 3 days stay.
If you want to take a step back and clear your mind from the hustle and bustle of any big city, do yourself a favour and stay at this homestay.

Hartelijke en gastvrije familie, bij wie we ons heel welkom voelden.
Mooi ingericht huis, met oog voor details, warm en mooi aangekleed, niet echt Indische stijl.
Rustig gelegen in een groene omgeving en toch slechts 5km van het centrum van Karaikudi.
Ruime en propere kamer en badkamer, met alles wat we nodig hadden.
Lekker ontbijt en avondeten, met liefde klaargemaakt.
We voelden ons er thuis, geen nummer zoals in een hotel, en besloten nogal snel een extra nacht te blijven.
Een aanrader!
Een klein minpuntje voor ons waren misschien de harde bedden, maar voor sommigen is dit misschien wel positief

What a traveller requires is a home away from home - which is something the typical hotel fails to provide. Sure, you get a fancy room, privacy, services, what not - but they naturally leave you alone which is the SOP of a hotel stay. Here in homestays, it's more like you are part of their existing livelihood and routines, which is ofcourse tailored to make you as comfortable as possible - right from the vibe, amenities, food and what not. But what makes travel experiences meaningful is the people you meet and what you take back as experiences, conversations and memories in the end. On that aspect - Vijay was a fantastic host with a good attitude and loads of experiences from his travels across the country, his mom a fantastic cook and his dad too a very quiet soul - who is happy to help and make your stay a pleasant one.
