We had a wonderful stay at this property in Lake Tekapo. The room and living area were very comfortable, and the views from both the bedroom and the lounge were stunning, overlooking the beautiful Lake Tekapo.
The location is excellent, only about a 2-minute drive to the town centre, making it very convenient while still feeling peaceful and private. The backyard is spacious and relaxing — it was lovely to sit outside on the chairs, enjoy dinner, and watch the sunset over the lake.
At night, we could see countless stars simply by looking up, either from the room or outdoors, which made the experience truly special.
While the house has some age, it is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The kitchenware and daily necessities provided were comprehensive and thoughtfully prepared.
We especially loved the gardens at both the front and back of the house. The plants are beautifully arranged with great character and layers — the garden alone offers many wonderful photo opportunities.
Overall, a very memorable stay and a place we would happily recommend to others visiting Lake Tekapo.

Beautiful views, location, and ambiance for a "city center" Lake Tekapo stay. House is clean and comfortable.
The supplies for a home stay were some of the worst we've experienced in our 20+ years of home stays. For example, very few kitchen supplies for handling meals (e.g., no hot pads for handling oven or stovetop cooking, limited kitchen towels for drying dishes or basic clean up, no paper towels provided). Very few bath towels and linens provided for a 3-bedroom and family of five. Additionally, the BBQ grill on the back deck is pretty much non-functional if you want to cook steaks or meat. It was filthy and is only a griddle top, so if you don't mind all the grime and debris from what looks like the previous tenants staying there, feel free to use it for eggs and bacon in the morning. The view is almost worth it.
