The property was perfectly located, with just a short walk to the Marathon start line, which was a huge highlight for us. The views across the lake towards Ruapehu were absolutely stunning, and looking out the kitchen window in the morning to see the steam rising from a geyser in the distance.
The facilities were modern, clean and had everything we needed. We’d definitely love to come back and enjoy the frosty winter ambience again, especially tucked up in front of the fireplace.

Everything, the place is truly a gem. Walked in and was like wow. Had absolutely everything we needed.
Nothing much at all, wife did mention something about not having a TV in the living area but I didn’t mind this.

Had everything we needed, comfy beds, very clean. Central to town, can walk to lake.

Location was fine with a view. Overall property was clean and comfy.
Good Parking
The Driveway was tricky. to get around.
The BBQ was dirty and hadn't been cleaned - would not use it in the state it was.
The oven was dodgy and difficult to use with the buttons faded and no instructions for the oven part.
Only one small sharp knife. Top toilet bowl not clean.
When windy the partly broken roof of an outside area looked like it was going to brake off and blow away.
Dead plants on the outside patio area. Overall property was tired and for the money we paid we expected more.
We would have preferred an information folder in the property to read ie:- on what to do with the rubbish etc, not having to look up the App all the time. But there was very little information there anyway.
As for asking for more money for an early check in or later check out was absolutely dreadful, given what we paid.
